Recipe #22 - Banana Split Smoothies

Very yummy!

Recipe #21 - Bow-Thai Chicken

We made this meal last night with a recipe from Pillsbury Bake-Off from May of 2005.  This recipe was really good and fairly simple.  We had plenty too.  I thought it was just a bit too spicy, but Tony really enjoyed it and the kids both ate some of it.  We had a salad and garlic bread with it.  Yum!  Tony helped quite a lot with this meal: prepping the chicken, etc.  (Really he did most of the work.)  I would definitely make it again - even the leftovers were good! Recipe #20 - English Toffee No-Bake Cheesecake

Recipe #19 - Cheddar Broccoli Bake

This side dish was absolutely delicious and a little naughty.  My 3-year-old and my 17-month-old loved it and ate second (and third for my daughter) helpings!  Another thing that's great is that it's easy to make.  This would be good with chicken as a main course.  Definitely on our repeat list.  This recipe was taken from Pillsbury Casseroles from October of 2000. Recipe #18 - Peachy Fruit Smoothies

Made these delicious smoothies last night for my hubby and me.  Yum!!  Didn't know if the blender was going to make it through all that yummy goodness, but it did.  Well worth it!  My husband liked his, and he's not a big peach fan.  I highly recommend these tasty treats, and I am looking forward to trying more smoothie recipes very soon!!  This recipe was taken from... Recipe #10 - 5-Way Cincinnati Pizza

Image
This recipe was really good and the kids liked it.  Huge plus!  We had to create our own apple pie spice for the recipe because we couldn't find any in the store.  There are actually 2 or 3 variations of apple pie spice so be aware of that.  Quite good and fairly filling.  A definite repeat at our house.  Another winner from Pillsbury Bake-Off from May of 2005.  Get the recipe here: http://www.pillsbury.com/recipes/5-way-cincinnati-pizza/5ed9d9a6-cdb3-4d58-a766-018fcc5b1675/#

Recipe #9 - Oatmeal Carmelitas

Image
These little bars are quite delicious but almost too sweet.  Very sugary.  Tony enjoyed them a lot.  I enjoyed them as well, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend this dessert if you're trying to cut back on sugar and sweets.  It would be a great take along item to a party or other event where you need to share.  Recipe taken from Pillsbury Bake-Off from May of 2005.  For this recipe, go to: http://www.pillsbury.com/recipes/oatmeal-carmelitas/e8b987bd-e31f-45cc-ae54-d34fca9daf48/#

Recipe #8 - Cheese-Topped Taco Pie

Image
This meal was so delicious!  Tony said this was his favorite so far.  It's easy and yummy!  If you have a big family, you might need to make 2.  This recipe was taken from Pillsbury Bake-Off from May of 2005.  I think I could have eaten half the pie; is that bad?  Here's the link to the recipe: http://www.pillsbury.com/recipes/cheese-topped-taco-pie/76d3ab97-e6fb-44db-ab2f-bdf4bd91772d/

Recipe A - Colorful Vegetable Stroganoff

This recipe is labeled with an A because my husband made the recipe entirely by himself while I was running an errand last night.  I won't count it as part of my 22 recipe quota.  I have to say that this meal was quite delicious.  It has no meat in it, but the recipe book did indicate that adding chicken would be a nice touch.  It was delicious vegetarian-style, but I believe it would be quite yummy with chicken as well.  Bonus for us was that both of our older children ate it with no complaints.  Yippee!!  This will certainly go on the repeat list.  Fresh carrots and broccoli contribute to the "colorful" part of the recipe.  Very good!  Would be wonderful with a salad or cheesy garlic bread.  Taken from Pillsbury Pasta from October of 1996.  If you're interested in learning more or getting the recipe for this delicious linguine dish, please let me know!

Recipe #7 - Spinach Pesto Manicotti

Tony did most of the work on this meal as well.  It was pretty good, except for the fact that some of the manicotti noodles broke open when they were being filled.  The flavor was quite good and the nice thing is that you can choose your favorite pasta sauce to go over the manicotti.  This recipe came from Pillsbury Pasta from October of 1996.  Check it out: http://www.pillsbury.com/recipes/spinach-pesto-manicotti/8766f762-5806-4f57-a7e2-4b2086216fa4/#

Recipe #6 - Pepper Biscuit Pull-Apart

D-e-e-licious!  Yum!  A great start or accent to any Italian pasta dish and so simple to make.  These biscuits have olive oil, green pepper, red pepper, mozzarella, parmesan, and just the right combination of spices.  I made mine on my Pampered Chef pizza stone - perfect!!  Give them a try!  I found this recipe in Pillsbury Bake-Off from May of 2005 again.  It really is full of yumminess!!  Is that a word? Recipe #5 - Spanish Rice Salad

Pillsbury Bake-Off from May of 2005 is where this delicious side came from.  I did the majority of the work on this one, except the chopping.  ;-)  We enjoyed this side immensely - the combination of rice, onion, pepper, mexicorn, spices, along with the "dressing" was very tasty.  It made a wonderful addition/accent to the pizza we had this evening.  Another great recipe we will add to the repeat list! Recipe #4 - Chicken Fajita Pizza

I will admit that my wonderful husband did the vast majority of the work on this if not all.  He did a fantastic job and the pizza was delicious.  I would highly recommend this homemade pizza.  The chicken is seasoned well while cooking and red pepper and onion are then added to the pan.  Very delicious!  Not a big hit with our 3-year-old, and our 16-month-old only ate some pieces of chicken we picked off for him.  We will still add this great recipe to our repeat list.  I found this yummy meal in Pillsbury Bake-Off from May of 2005.  Definitely worth the time.  Can I say that even though I really didn't do the work?
